about

Based on a real event. In fact, the photo in the cover art was taken on that night. (July 7, 2009, to be exact.)

Song was written on January 24, 2010, with a piano/guitar demo. The lyrics were written March 27, 2010, and the rest of the instruments were done in April.

Originally called "Caesar," as someone offered me a caesar just before I started writing it.

Steven Drouin provides the grumbly screams in the choruses, and does a damn good job with them too.

lyrics

What do you expect?
What do you expect from me?
There's nothing I can do,
Now everything's on you, on you...

A simple standoff
A lot of work lies ahead of you
Two broken lovers
And not much distance between the two

How could we have seen this coming?
It's not something they would do.
This is the beginning of the end of us.

What do you want?
And who do you want?
And what can I do to help?

I'd love to stay out
I'd love to stay back
I'd love to leave it all to

One little sentence
And the end of your love is here
Two broken lovers
One moves on and one sheds a tear

How could we have seen this coming?
It's not something they would do.
This is the beginning of the end of us.

How could we have seen this coming?
It's not something they would do.
This is the beginning of the end of us.
